by Dimitris IoannouIt's been about two years since the last time Tim Burton and Johnny Depp worked together in “Alice in Wonderland”, but now the two friends have something new to show us. “Dark Shadows” is the latest Gothic-horror tale from the brilliant director and the first trailer is already online.
In the two and a half minute video we see Barnabas Collins played by Johnny Depp, transformed into a vampire and buried alive by an evil but sexy witch (Eva Green). Hundreds of years later, he escapes from the tomb and returns to his family home to meet his ancestors.
“Dark Shadows” is adapted from the cult TV show of the '60s with the same name. Though the theme might sound a bit scary, in fact the movie has a lot of funny moments -most of them by Johnny Depp- and seems to be one of Burton's best movies so far.
Besides the trailer a new poster published yesterday, revealing the entire cast of the film, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz, Johnny Lee Miller and Helena Bonham Carter. The movie is scheduled for a May 11 release.
