Chloe Moretz to play in “Carrie” remake

by Dimitris Ioannou

Chloe Moretz, the talented 15-year-old girl who played a young vampire in “Let Me In”, is about to play the leading role in the new Stephen King's “Carrie” remake by the director Kimberly Pierce, mostly known for 1999's “Boys Don't Cry”. Chloe says it will not remind at all of Brian De Palma's version.

“I'm actually not looking at the original,” she says, “even though De Palma's movie was one of the best movies ever made. It's completely iconic and I'm proud to be able to be doing a retooling of it. We're kind of going off the book.”

“It's darker and much more psychological,” she continues. “More 'Black Swan'. You're really looking into her mind and it really looks into the relationship of Margaret and Carrie. It's set in modern time, so it's a lot different.”

And as for her character: “It's something that's very different from me,” Moretz says of Carrie's appearance. “It's an out of body thing. I'm becoming a totally different person for it. I'm letting go of all of my self-esteem issues and just kind of going into it. You have to.”

“Carrie” is scheduled for a US release on March 13, 2013.

Chloe Sevigny... naked in her New York bedroom

by Dimitris Ioannou

Chloe Sevigny stripes down, covers with a sheet and lays in her pink bed for the new issue cover of New York magazine.

The 37-year-old actress gave the magazine a tour of her New York apartment and talks about it. “I like crosses,” she says (she has several on the walls of her digs). “I was raised Catholic ... I have an affinity.”

The former “Big Love” star explains to the magazine why she only used pale pink, blue and yellow to decorated her apartment. “I wanted this to be more glamorous” she said and describes the first time she walked in: “I walked in and felt transported, like I wasn't in Manhattan anymore. It just felt womb-like."

Chloe is currently filming “Black Dog, Red Dog” alongside James Franco and Olivia Wild, while she is also starring to the Linda Lovelace biopic titled “Lovelace”, with Amanda Seyfried in the leading role and James Franco, Wes Bentley, Eric Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sharon Stone and Hank Azaria among others.

Chris Evans covers the May issue of Details magazine

 by Dimitris Ioannou

“The Avengers” star Chris Evans covers the May issue of Details magazine, looking hotter than ever and proving that he is not the upright, spit-polished superhero that we see on screen. The 30-year-old actor talks to Adam Sachs about the movie, his relationship with his mother, Buddhism and a lot more.

Evans explained to the magazine his hesitation for playing a character like Captain America, not only because with blockbusters like that he losses even more of his remaining anonymity, but mostly because the bigger the movie is, the more nervous he gets. “I get very nervous, I shit the bed if I have to present something on stage or if I'm doing press. Because it's just you.Do you know how badly I audition? Fifty percent of the time I have to walk out of the room. I'm naturally very pale, so I turn red and sweat. And I have to literally walk out. Sometimes mid-audition. You start having these conversations in your brain. 'Chris, don't do this. Chris, take it easy. You're just sitting in a room with a person saying some words, this isn't life. And you're letting this affect you? Shame on you'”.

“I think my daytime person is different than my nighttime person," Evans says. "With my high-school buddies, we drink beer and talk sports and it's great. The kids in my Buddhism class in L.A., they're wildly intelligent, and I love being around them, but they're not talking about the Celtics. And that's part of me. It's a strange dichotomy. I don't mind being a certain way with some people and having this other piece of me that's just for me."

He is very close to his mother, so close that she is the first person to learn everything. Even when he had sex for the first time! “I raced home and was like, 'Mom, I just had sex! Where's the clit?'” he sais, although he admits he never got an answer. “Still don't know where it is, man, I just don't know. Make some movies, you don't have to know...”

Chloe Moretz stars in “Hick”

by Dimitris Ioannou

The 15-year-old Chloe Moretz stars in the new film “Hick” by Derick Martini the American director that in 2008 brought us “Lymelife”. In the new red band trailer released yesterday we find Moretz playing with guns, dressed twice her age and more mature than ever, even on “30 Rock”.

The beautiful blonde actress, most known from the movies “Kick-Ass”, “Let Me In” and lately “Hugo”, plays a 13-year-old girl named Luli McMullen who runs from home, trying to escape her mom's alcoholic boyfriends and to pursue fame. In her path she finds trouble when she meets a boy older than her named Eddie (Eddie Redmayne). Fortunately soon comes to her life the troubled but caring Glenda, played by the “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively.

The movie is an adaptation of Andrea Ports novel by the same name and alongside Moretz, we also find Juliette Lewis and Alec Baldwin. “Hick” is scheduled to open in theatres on May 11th.

Here is the official synopsis of “Hick” and below the trailer, check it out:

Thirteen-year-old Nebraska girl Luli (Chloe Grace Moretz) has been dealt a rough hand. Her mother and father spend their evenings getting obnoxiously plastered at the local watering hole, then go at it like a pair of trashy, drunk teenagers. Worse, they manage to throw down at Luli’s birthday party.
Certain she’s destined for a more glamorous life, Luli packs her things — including her new birthday gift, a Smith & Wesson .45 — and hitches a ride to Vegas. Dressed like a girl twice her age, she’s immediately picked up by a wannabe cowboy named Eddie (Eddie Redmayne, a sensational actor on the rise), who walks with a limp and acts a little too crazy for comfort. The two fail to hit it off and Luli is ejected from the car. Luckily, she soon meets Glenda (Blake Lively), a grifter who acts as Luli’s big sister — albeit one who offers her drugs and uses her as an accessory to a robbery. Just as things seem to be going moderately well for Luli, Eddie makes an unwelcome return and becomes increasingly difficult to evade.

by Dimitris Ioannou

And while the Spider-Man fans from all over the world can't wait for the release of “The Amazing Spider-Man” this summer, Sony in association with Marvel Comics, are already planning the sequel, which is set to go into production at the beginning of 2013, as announced.

Gary Ross is officially out of “Hunger Games” sequel

by Dimitris Ioannou

We finally have an official answer. Gary Ross announced himself his unwillingness to direct the “Hunger Games” sequel, titled “Catching Fire” and expected to begin filming this autumn in order to come out on 22 November 2013. Although he did a great job for the first part of the hit blockbuster trilogy, he refused to continue working with Lionsgate, giving an end to the last days speculations.

"Despite recent speculation in the media, and after difficult but sincere consideration, I have decided not to direct Catching Fire," said Ross. "As a writer and a director, I simply don’t have the time I need to write and prep the movie I would have wanted to make because of the fixed and tight production schedule."

"Lionsgate was supportive of me in a manner that few directors ever experience in a franchise," he continued. "They empowered me to make the film I wanted to make and backed the movie in a way that requires no explanation beyond the remarkable results. And contrary to what has been reported, negotiations with Lionsgate have not been problematic. They have also been very understanding of me through this difficult decision."

Now we only have to wait to see who will take his place.

Gemma Arterton, the beautiful actress from England, best known for her work in “Clash of the Titans” and “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”, is currently in negotiations to star in “The Wright Girls”, a dark comedy-thriller from Relativity and Atlas Entertainment.

The film is inspired by the Japanese “2LDK” and it revolves around two young actresses who live together, pretend to be best friends and are co-stars on a successful television show. In reality, they detest each other and go to extreme and violent lengths to do one another in when they end up competing for the same movie role. The role of the other actress has not been cast.

Andy Fickman is also in talks to direct the movie and “Easy A's” Bert Royal wrote the script. There has been rumors that Megan Fox is attached to the movie, but sources say that the actress is not evolved to the project.

Arterton is now filming “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” alongside Jeremy Renner, and “Byzantium” a dark and bloody vampire movie, co-starring Saoirse Ronan, directed by Neil Jordan.

With the release of “The Avengers” less than a month away, Marvel is already planning the return of “Iron Man 3”.
