Hollywood loves remakes and when their
followed by a big movie star, they're guaranteed success. The classic
sci-fi action film “RoboCop” is the next movie to get a new
modern version, and Gary Oldman has just signed to play one of the
leading roles.
Oldman will play Norton, the scientist
responsible for creating “RoboCop”, alongside Joel Kinnaman,
known from the US version of “The Killing”, in the role of
“RoboCop”.
Kinnaman recently talked about the film
and said: “I sincerely hope they’re going for an R rating,
because I can’t imagine how RoboCop
could be PG-13. That would be a huge mistake. If I have any say in
it, I will fight very hard for it. It has to be violent.”
“RoboCop” is scheduled to open on
August 9, 2013, although the production hasn't started yet.
