“The Twilight Saga” actor Kellan
Lutz has just signed to play Tarzan in a new film by the German
production company Constantin Film. For the role of his love interest
Jane, the young actress Spencer Locke, mostly known for “Resident
Evil: Afterlife” and TV series “Cougar Town”, is currently in
talks.
What's the catch? The film
will be fully animated using performance-capture technology, like the
one used in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” last summer.
Reinhard Klooss will sit at the directing chair, while the script is
written by himself, Jessica Postigo (The Mortal Instruments) and Yoni
Brenner (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs).
Until the release
of the movie, which is yet unknown, you can see Kellan in the
upcoming grand finale of “Twilight” titled “Breaking Dawn: Part
2”, scheduled to hit the theatres on November 16.
